TAB offers many opportunities to serve or be served, and to participate. Visit this page to see changing ministries opportunities.

ESL Ministry

TAB offers free English as a Second Language classes every Sunday at 9:30 am and on Thursdays at 6:30 pm.  There are both beginner and advance classes available and it is open to all no matter what your first language is.  The classes are free but there may be a charge for the book.

Teaching Ministries

The fundamental ministry of the Church is to proclaim the “Good News” of God, His provision for our salvation and His love for us.  The Bible is the primary source of God’s truth revealed to mankind and used to teach all ages from the youngest to the most senior. The preaching of Word is the main focus of our Sunday Service, but small groups and classes allow for more personalized fellowship and group studies.  We love the privilege of helping parents by teach and train the younger students and wee ones, and allowing you time with other young adults and parents.

Junior Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, TAB holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from crafts, to games, to object lessons.

Music Ministries

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our blended-style music ministry.  Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved with the bell choir. The goal of our music ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church, is to enjoy and promote worship of God while using our talents and gifts to glorify God.

Greeters & Ushers The Greeting Team at TAB fills an important role. They may be the first ones you meet as you visit, assisting all by providing information on our ministries, facilities, child care;  ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service and worship be enjoyable and can proceed problem-free.  The Greeting Team is a service-oriented group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Tabernacle Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. TAB sermons are available on our website in audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook page for additional church communication and info of current events and opportunities. TAB maintains a good lending library of enjoyable reading resources, useful study materials, and family-friendly videos and children’s books.

Marriage Counseling Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment and even anger can be experienced in the challenging moments of life in any marriage.  Contact the church office for information or referrals for a marriage counselor from our staff or other trusted resources. God Word teach us that the marriage of a man and women should reflect the love that Christ has for the Church – marriage is important to God. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse as they have responded to God’s truth and advice for men and for women in their God-created roles.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand and heart of God.  Tabernacle Baptist Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Thursday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Camp Counselors

Each summer, Tabernacle Baptist Church partners with Lamoka Baptist Camp. Their week-long events involve games, a lot of preaching, great food, good worship, and the intentional influence of camp counselors. The camp counselors are selected, screened, and trained for this important camp ministry. They find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both campers and counselors grow in the process.
